As a true emiliano, he loves speaking the reggiano dialect. But he also speaks Italian and English, of course.

Passionate sportsman and triathlete, he recently quit downhill - the extreme sport - to dedicate his time in launching a young and sustainable startup, thus putting into practice his passion for the natural world.

He’s been teaching biotechnology in Italy since 1979, after enriching his knowledge and skills at the University of Chicago. His studies have by the time focused on applied biotechnologies in the environmental field and sustainable agriculture.

Following the proposal of the University of Parma, he was nominated Professore Emerito by The Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research.
